Coliving Awards is the first award ceremony dedicated to highlighting key innovators, actors and ideas that are shaping the shared living industry.
Coliving Awards is a portfolio brand of Coliving Ventures, the venture manager behind Coliving Awards and Coliving Insights. Coliving Insights is a leading media platform and research lab dedicated to providing state-of-the-art content and innovative insights to the sector. Coliving Ventures is the world’s first venture dedicated to supporting the sector to scale and consolidate.
Along with its portfolio brands, Coliving Ventures aims to push the boundaries of the sector through insights, industry events, exclusive award ceremonies, venture incubation and more.
Coliving Awards 2022
As the coliving industry is evolving and consolidating, Coliving Awards aims to foster innovation in the sector. In partnership with key organisations, they celebrate and highlight coliving pioneers. They aim to inspire the next generation of specialist real estate market players by identifying disruptive solutions and state-of-the-art shared living concepts.
The Coliving Awards highlights the most innovative shared living initiatives via 15 different verticals, including ‘Building & Architecture’, ‘Impact & Sustainability’, ‘Coliving Operator of the Year’ and some new ones for this year’s edition including ‘Emerging Coliving Concept’, ‘Nomad Coliving’ and ‘Content & Media’, amongst several others.
On June 29th 2022, during the Coliving Awards ceremony in Katowice (Poland), the winners of each of the 15 categories were revealed. The winners of the 2022 edition were selected among over 70 submitted projects, and their creativity, innovative thinking and originality are pushing colivings boundries and setting benchmarks for the sector.
Coliving Awards 2021
Looking back at the first edition
In 2021 Coliving Awards launched its first edition. Hosted in partnership with leading shared living experts and organisations, the Coliving Awards 2021 was the first ceremony dedicated to highlighting key innovators, actors and ideas that are shaping the industry.
Coliving Awards partnered up with Coliving Insights to release a Special Edition to showcase the contributors of Coliving Awards 2021.
The 2021 edition showcased the lead judges, jury panel, award winners and all the partners and sponsors who contributed to the first ever awards ceremony dedicated to the sector.
As one of the highlight Coliving Insights publications of 2021, this edition was a chance for all those involved in the Coliving Awards to get additional visibility and recognition in front of Coliving Insights’ fast-growing and hyper-niche audience.
Conscious Coliving & Coliving Awards 2021
Last year Conscious Coliving submitting two projects to the Coliving Awards, including The Community Facilitation Handbook for the ‘Best Thought Leadership Piece’ Category and The Conscious Coliving Manifesto for the ‘Best Initiative Fostering Coliving’ category.
The Community Facilitation Handbook v1.0 is a collaborative initiative between Art of Co and Conscious Coliving. The Handbook shares community facilitation best practices and resources for the wider ecosystem, with the aim to help foster authentic connection and communal experiences within shared living spaces. 2021 Lead Judge, Connor Moore, shared:
“While many publications, books, and reports have been written on how to best form communities, The Community Facilitation Handbook is the most comprehensive resource specifically catering to the creation of communities… For me, defining and refining the community facilitation process is arguably the most important element for the future growth and success of the global coliving movement. With this in mind, I believe the first edition of The Community Facilitation Handbook will be a foundational resource for the facilitation of strong and impactful communities around the world.”
The Conscious Coliving Manifesto v3.0 (The Manifesto) is an open-source coliving framework created by the industry for the industry. The Manifesto serves as a guide for a new living paradigm in which people are consciously connected to self, others and nature.
Since 2018, we have been collaborating with operators, developers, investors, thought leaders and residents to develop a deeper and more holistic vision for coliving, one that can support spaces in fulfilling their full potential.
The three core aspects of wellbeing, community and sustainability are supported by the four pillars – aligned policy and regulation, a sustainability financial model, supportive spatial design and wise management and operations – to create thriving communities.
